"Raindrops on roses, whiskers on kittens, bright copper kettles , warm woolen mittens, brown paper packages tied up with strings, these are a few of my favorite things.
Cream-colored ponies, crisp apple strudels, door bells and sleigh bells and shnitzel with noodles, wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings, these are a few of my favorite things.
Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes, snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes, silver white winters melt into springs, these are a few of my favorite things.
When the dog bites, when the bee stings, when I'm feeling sad, I simply remember my favorite things, and then I don't feel so bad."

Friends

Friends are important to me. They are treasures in my life, especially in the situation that I constantly travel around, always having to be apart from some of my dearest friends. I like to chat with them on the phone, on the internet or through email.

Movies

A movie is where stories, lighting, sounds, actings and budget all combined together. Movies are made for audience, and the audience watches moives through three "eyes": The voyeur's eye is the mind's eye, the dispassionate observer, watching out of a kind of generic human curiosity; the vicarious eye sees with the heart, putting our heart in the actor's body so that we feel what the actor feels, but we judge it for ourselves; the visceral eye gives us the sensation, rather than emotion, thrill of motion, joy of destruction, lust, blood lust, terror and disgust.
I am a serious movie fan. Simply watching movies can't satisfy my hunger. I like to watch Hollywood behind scenes and making of films. I also read books on film making and film lighting. Other than the stories, I pay special attention to acting and lighting in movies.
I like to watch movies with speicial effects and psychologically horror effects. But my favorite movies are normal ones with good acting and touching stories, such as "Rain Man", "Dragon Heart" and "First Knight".
Check out the actors/actress I like.

Chess

I started to learn chess in March 1997. Just a few days after I started I found myself totally absorbed into the game of mind.
"The chessboard is the world, the rules of the game are what we call nature. The player on the other side is hidden from us, but we know his play is always fair, just, and patient. We also know that he never overlooks a mistake."
Take a look at my chess teacher!

The Internet

It is fun on the internet, searching informations and making your own web pages. Although I am not an internet expert, I spend a lot of time on the net every week and enjoy learning.

Languages

Learning new languages is fun if you don't take classes. By simply purchasing text books and audio tapes from a book store, I can enjoy 1 or 2 hours beautiful European languages every day. It won't make me very professional, but it will make me enjoy life. Other than English, I am learning French and Italian. I already have some basic knowledge of French, but still a beginner at Italian. So wait to see how far I can get.
